One Fifty Parker Avenue School owns and operates its own 14-passenger, steel-clad bus with custom-designed integrated five-point booster seats for use by PM Nursery children in need of morning childcare or a few days per week of extra Parker fun, as well as for TK children one afternoon per week.

The bus features a fun and engaging curriculum, in line with Parker School's philosophy and educational approach. It provides a classroom without walls that promotes exploration, inquiry, discovery, and play in local natural and cultural settings.

Children who ride the bus challenge themselves physically, cognitively, socially, and emotionally as they learn to navigate and interact with the world and the people around them.  Over the course of the school year, the bus explores all corners of the Bay Area, from parks and playgrounds, to science, aviation, and art museums, to beaches, to bakeries, and libraries.  All teacher-drivers have their required coursework in ECE and have obtained the requisite California commercial class B drivers license.

We encourage all children to hop on the bus and experience this dynamic of mobility, play, and learning!

The Basics

Children participate this program during their second and/or third years at Parker School in addition to their core classroom program. Three teachers make up the LRSB teaching team. Children may sign up for this additional program one day per week or up to 5 days a week from 8:30AM to 1PM. Transitional Kindergarten children are eligible to utilize the bus one afternoon per week, from 1:30-4PM.
